About Therapy

Make life more manageable with therapy.
You are seeking help with managing something that sometimes feels unmanageable or unbearable.
Walking through my office door feels like stepping into a calm, grounded space where you can finally exhale. In our sessions, you’re not expected to have it all together. You get to show up as you are: messy, tired, questioning, or quietly strong beneath the surface.
Therapy is a space where you can feel seen and heard.
Therapy with me is a mix of warmth, depth, and realness. I bring a fierce belief in your resilience and a gentle compassion for your struggles.
We’ll laugh sometimes, cry when needed, and always return to what matters most – you.
You won’t be handed a one-size-fits-all solution. I tailor the work to your unique motherhood experience, history, values, and hopes.
Together, we create authentic and sustainable change, not just survival, but a return to clarity, confidence, and connection.

Wherever you are, I’ll meet you there.
When you can’t make it to the office – whether it’s because there’s no babysitter, a napping baby, or a packed schedule – I will meet you right where you are.
Through online therapy, my office comes with you: on the couch, in the car, or wherever you can carve out a few quiet minutes. Maybe your toddler is climbing into your lap, a baby monitor hums in the background, or a pile of laundry is just off camera. That’s okay here. I expect real life to spill into our sessions, and I welcome it.
When we meet, I bring a calm, grounded presence that helps you exhale, even in the midst of chaos. I’ll gently guide you back to yourself when distractions pull you away, and we’ll find ways to make therapy work with your reality, not against it.
Sometimes, you might pause to hand out snacks or soothe a crying baby. When you come back, I’ll be right there, ready to pick up where we left off.

Everyone needs a person who supports them.
I’m the calm in your storm, and your biggest cheerleader when you forget how strong you are.
Therapy with me feels like having a wise, compassionate friend who sees your potential even on your hardest days. Consider me someone who holds space, offers fundamental tools, and always has your back.
About Katrin Segeletz, LPC

Here’s my story.
I was born on a small island in Germany, and the ocean has always been a part of my life. I love it for its unpredictable nature, mirroring the complexity of life and emotions. In its depths, I find stillness; in its waves, I sense freedom. The ocean teaches me to breathe – slowly, deeply, intentionally – reminding me that calm and chaos can coexist.
Moving to Colorado, I’ve learned to love the vast stillness of Colorado’s mountains as well.
My life weaves between opposites: mountain and sea, German roots and American rhythms, being bilingual in English and German.
Living between two worlds has allowed me to see life from many perspectives, which also helps me see you more fully. I specialize in helping moms find clarity when everything feels tangled and contradictory.
With a big-picture mindset and deep compassion, I help you reconnect with what truly matters so you can thrive rather than survive.

Being a therapist is my passion.
I received my master’s degree in clinical psychology and finished my counseling training program in Germany. I started my career as a liaison counselor in the OB-GYN department of a hospital, offering support and short-term therapy to women facing postpartum depression, birth-related challenges, and serious health diagnoses.
In that fast-paced hospital setting, I learned to work with diverse perspectives, ranging from medical teams to partners and families. I offered focused, real-life solutions that helped women feel more grounded and empowered, allowing them to start the healing process right there. That experience laid the foundation for my current therapy work: assisting mothers in finding realistic, personalized strategies that truly fit their everyday lives.
Over the past 20 years, I have been trained in various therapy approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I attend several educational classes, courses, and training throughout the year to stay up to date and deepen my understanding of new approaches.
This is not a chore; I am genuinely interested in learning new things and gaining a different perspective on the world. Every time I hear about a fascinating topic, I read a book about it and conduct intensive research to find ways to incorporate it into my work with clients.

Here’s what I love most about therapy.
What I love most about this work is witnessing the incredible transformation in people’s lives. With just a little support and the right tools, I’ve seen moms go from feeling unseen, unloved, and overwhelmed to standing firm in their worth, confident in their choices, and brave in life’s challenges.
Being part of that journey, watching someone reclaim their voice, rediscover their joy, and step fully into their power, is awe-inspiring. It’s why I do this work.
Therapy isn’t about fixing you but helping you remember who you’ve always been.

What do I enjoy doing outside the office?
In my free time, I love being in touch with nature. Whether hiking in the mountains, walking through the forest, or gardening at home, every environment gives me peace of mind.
As often as I can, I return to the ocean to stay connected to my roots and the part of me that finds peace in the rhythm of the waves.
I also enjoy traveling to different countries and learning about other ways of life. I have always been interested in listening to people’s stories and discovering their ways of thinking. As a mother of two young daughters, I often find myself at playgrounds, birthday parties, or simply relaxing with my kids on the couch, enjoying ice cream and watching the latest Netflix kids’ movie (and then listening to the soundtrack while driving in the car for weeks).
